Corporate Responsibility

FREEDOM4 WiFi understands that it has an important role to play in conducting business in a social, ethical and environmentally responsible way. FREEDOM4 WiFi is committed to being a responsible company and aims to improve its performance in all areas of corporate responsibility. We define corporate responsibility as taking actions that will positively impact our stakeholders (including customers, employees, shareholders, suppliers and local communities) and the environment in which we live and work. We will adhere to all legal and regulatory obligations in this regard and, where possible, exceed them.

Recognising that the industry has some way to go to improve customer service, FREEDOM4 WiFi has improved its processes and responsibilities for dealing with customer complaints and any queries relating to the way we do business. Our customers recognise that we are not afraid to challenge the norms of the industry in order to try and provide them with the best products, service and value for money. Through offering choice and value, we put the power into our customers' hands.

FREEDOM4 WiFi is committed to developing a network infrastructure that provides the best possible service to our stakeholders/customers whilst ensuring that our sites have the minimum possible impact on the environment and the communities within which we operate. For all of our sites we try to find locations which, in our opinion, achieve the best available balance of our needs, the needs of the local planning authority and the local community.

FREEDOM4 WiFi's consultants and network engineers' work closely together, undertaking extensive field-based surveys and database reviews in order to determine possible site locations.

At FREEDOM4 WiFi we try and ensure that all our installations are designed and located to be as sympathetic to the surrounding environment as possible. Where possible we seek to ensure that new structures blend with the surrounding environment. We seek to respect the visual amenity of an area rather than provide an opportunity to 'hide' our installations.

All of FREEDOM4 WiFi' installations are designed to operate within the ICNIRP* health-based reference level this means that in any publicly accesible area radio frequency emissions from a FREEDOM4 WiFi base station will not exceed levels which represent safe operating standards. We take advice from leading UK and international authorities, such as tthe World Health Organisation (WHO), on matters of health and safety. *International commission on non-ionising radiation.

It is the Policy of FREEDOM4 WiFi to provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions, equipment and safe working practices for all its employees, and to provide all necessary information, training and supervision. FREEDOM4 WiFi also accepts its responsibility for the Health and Safety of other people who may be affected by its work activities.

The allocation of duties for Health and Safety matters and the particular arrangements which FREEDOM4 WiFi has made, to implement the Policy is outlined in the FREEDOM4 WiFi Health and Safety Policy Manual. There will be regular review of the Policy and the way it is operated.

Beyond our day to day business practices, we are also committed to the reduction of waste and are looking at ways of reducing our total carbon footprint.
