PIN Number

PIN Request

Each time you start up ConnectionManager with a device installed, you will be asked for the Personal Identification Number (PIN) of your SIM. When you enter your PIN code it is shielded.

Pin Request

If you enter the wrong PIN code three times in succession your SIM card will be blocked. You will then need the eight-digit PUK (PIN Unblock Key) from FREEDOM4 WiFi to unblock the PIN again.

PIN settings

You can change your PIN settings on the Settings > General > PIN screen. You can either change your PIN or disable/enable PIN requests.

When you change your PIN code, you need to provide both your old PIN and a new, at least four digit long PIN, which you'll also need to confirm.

When you want to disable or enable PIN requests, you will need to provide your current PIN.

It is not possible to change your PIN code when you have disabled your PIN request.

Note:

It is possible that your SIM gets blocked by entering the wrong PIN code 3 times when disabling or enabling a PIN request, or when you change your PIN code.
